A California native, Stephen Kraft received his architectural training at UC Berkeley. Highly experienced as a furniture maker, he has created multi-scale work in his Oakland, California studio since 1978. A skilled and creative artist and designer, his outside interests include Japanese gardening, watercolor painting and feeding the neighborhood hummingbirds.
Kelsey worked closely with Stephen to design and perfect High Bar's sleek, custom-built Tabletop bar boxes. Kelsey's vision and Stephen's craftsmanship unite form and function in these walnut and mahogany pieces, resulting in an elevated aesthetic and clever cocktail mixing solution.
Abigail VanCannon is an accomplished painter based near Sacramento, CA. After earning her BFA and subsequently traveling to Rome to study in the traditions of the Renaissance Masters, she completed her MFA in figurative painting in San Francisco.
Most recently, Abigail was featured in December 2013’s SouthWestArt Magazine editorial for Artistic Excellence Competition and selected into Art Business News Magazine's Thirty under 30 2013 feature. SouthWestArt Magazine also named VanCannon one of the 21 Under 31 emerging artists in 2012.
These paintings were custom-made for High Bar: they can be paired to enhance your bar box's theme, store tools (most are painted on vintage cigar boxes), or simply bring an added pop of local, original artwork into your space.
They are also magnetized on the back, so they can be stored and displayed easily on the inside of the Vintage and Cutie bar boxes' lids.
